Celebrate Earth Day by learning how to make your own soap with all-natural ingredients! In this workshop, you'll learn the history of soap making and explore possible ingredients, techniques, tools and safety precautions. You'll follow the basic cold process soap recipe, start to finish. Play around with assorted botanicals and choose from Rosemary Mint and or Lavender Vanilla for your individual bars of soap!  Soap recipes are provided, as well. Every participant will also take home a bar of premade Wildflower soap, made by Nichole of Thankful Sage Farm School.

Cost: $55 per person. Includes expert instruction, all project materials, coffee and snacks. All workshops are BYOB.

Guest Instructor: Nichole Gerding, Thankful Sage Farm School.

Thankful Sage Farm School is, simply put, a way of life. It is that strong desire to grab a handful of earth, smell it, and carry that scent memory of it with you throughout the winter. It is picking up an old tool and actually using it, wildcrafting a bouquet for your dinner table.  It is the crunch of the autumn leaves underfoot, and the scent of lemon verbena as you brush past it in the garden. It is getting your hands and heart involved in a project, a gift, or a written page. It is surrounding yourself with handcrafts, old books and carefully chosen vintage pieces that remind us how we used to live, and how you live now. It is warmth, a celebration of seasons and heartsongs.  At Thankful Sage Farm School, we carefully craft small batch soaps and candles, with organic and when possible, local ingredients. We scour barns, old homes, ruins, and unlikely places for beautiful vintage pieces for your home. It is with these handcrafted body products and old good things, that we hope to capture a bit of memory left behind or deep within ourselves.
