Hand-woven wall hangings are literally EVERYWHERE right now- from Anthropologie, to Urban Outfitters to even Target!  In this workshop, the ancient craft of hand-weaving is combined with modern creativity and style. You'll learn how to prepare the loom to get started on your project, and how to create a drawing and work from it, Also, you'll learn several weaving techniques, including knots and shapes and then learn how to finish off your weaving and finally, how to hang your finished piece. Choose from several colorways on the day of the workshop.

Cost: $60 per person. Includes expert instruction, a handmade loom (to keep!), instruction booklet,  project bag, weaving needle, warp yarn and yarn for your project. In addition, a coffee bar is available! 

Guest Instructor: Suzanne Clune, Croi & Anam

Suzanne’s passion for fiber arts and textiles began at the age of three when she sewed her first button. She has been weaving for more than 20 years. It was while she was in graduate school for a master’s degree in Medieval History that she discovered her passion for weaving.  Suzanne has sewn professionally, taught (both history classes in high school and fiber arts workshops), spent 12 years as an antiques dealer specializing in 19th & 20th textiles and was on staff directing Creative Arts for two years for her church.  She opened her handweaving business croí + anam in the fall of 2014. 

Suzanne lives in Skippack with her husband, three children, two dogs, two cats and a fiber arts studio full of large Scandinavian looms.  You can see her studio on her website at www.croi-anam.com.
